2023 Achievement
I’m an emerging Anglo-Danish artist painting expressionist land, sea and cityscapes. My practice is in a shipyard loft in Copenhagen, Denmark. Works are in acrylics, watercolour and pencil. It is very gratifying to see how my work resonates with people and jurors at open calls. This year I was delighted to be longlisted for the Visual Art Open 2023. I had a work accepted for the WINTER group exhibition, by the Nordic Art Agency in Sweden, who also extended an invitation to be interviewed for a podcast. Finally, I moved my practice from a five sqm studio to a 35 sqm studio, where I can paint, show my works to visitors and host workshops. A studio that gives me an identity. I continue to explore the theme of Escapism. This is an enquiry into environments where serenity exists in the presence of pace.
