2023 Achievement
The Profiles of Positive Aging project continues to attract elders who are willing to have their life stories displayed in art in public. Separated into those in their 70s, 80s, and 90s, these lifesized banners display current images of the image of the elders collaged with what they consider to be the influencers from their distant and recent past that craft who they see themselves as being today.This latest series rounds out a lengthy career of self-reflective art, collaging images of life as people live it. Alana’s work can be seen in the online gallery at eaj-exhibit.art and in venues across Ireland. In 2023 her work was featured and she was an artist in residence during the summer at Ballymaloe in County Cork, Ireland. Her work is owned by collectors and corporations, mostly in the United States.
