I have been a practising Artist / Designer since 1994 & am based at 36 Lime Street studios in the Ouseburn Valley, Newcastle upon Tyne. I graduated from the ‘Combined Studies in Crafts’ course at Crewe and Alsager College in 1990 and have continued to develop my work ever since.

I first photographed the infamous tree in the summer of 2020, then suddenly decided that I would capture it in Autumn & Winter as well. So I returned to Sycamore Gap at the end of October & just caught the tree with some leaves still on. It nestles beautifully in the dip of Hadrian’s Wall. I have created the landscape with multiple layers of texture, colour & a pallet of rich, deep hues to bring the image to life. The print is available in 3 different colourways.
