VAA in Conversation

VAA in Conversation
Wednesday, 28th January
1:00pm GMT – Online
Join us for the first VAA In Conversation session, where we spotlight organisations, partners, and creative allies shaping today’s cultural landscape.
For this January edition, we are delighted to welcome The Hugo Burge Foundation, a leading UK charity dedicated to empowering creativity and expanding access to the arts.
About The Hugo Burge Foundation
Founded in 2021, the Hugo Burge Foundation is committed to supporting the arts, crafts and creative industries across the United Kingdom. Guided by the belief that creativity can profoundly transform individuals and communities, the Foundation delivers impact through:
- Creative Education, improving access to creative learning in schools and educational institutions
- Creative Communities, providing support, resources, and opportunities for community-based creative projects
- Individual Artists, offering grants, free studios, and Springboard Studio workspaces in the Scottish Borders
They also host over 20 funded residencies each year and welcome the public to engage through workshops, courses, events, and access to their inspiring Common Room and walled gardens.
This session will offer a closer look at their mission, opportunities for artists, and how they are fostering the next generation of creative talent across the UK.

We will conclude with key VAA announcements and member updates.
