Barbara’s art tries to bring the outside in. The large stands of beautiful white birch trees that thrive in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont motivated her to create a series of bark paintings during the summer of 2020. White birch tree bark peels regularly leaving wonderful shapes on the forest floor which Barbara collected and used to design her paintings. Wanting to paint organically takes Barbara outdoors where mother nature does her job to point the way to her next idea. Once the spark hits, she is on her way to a painting that shows strength, harmony and balance as she tries to draw the viewer in for a closer look.
