Digital Art Call for Entries Public Art CA

Dyson & Womack are accepting submissions for the Public Art CA digital media call for entries. Public Art CA is a contemporary art collection commissioned for the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) and the California Health and Human Services (CHHS) new buildings in downtown Sacramento.

The call centers digital artworks on a 32.5ft high 24ft wide digital display within the CNRA building. This opportunity embraces a contemporary and accessible concept of what public art is, who makes it, and for whom it is for. We seek to commission artists and artworks that consider experimentation, innovation, and inclusion as central components of creation.

International Call | Sunset Kino Award 2021

The Salzburger Kunstverein announces the inaugural call for the 2021 Sunset Kino Award for excellence in contemporary film and video. Supported by patrons “Elke & Harald,” the award consists of two €4,000 prizes and screenings of the winning films at Sunset Kino, a film festival hosted by the Salzburger Kunstverein in the summer of 2021.

£10,000 Commission Opportunity: A New Creative Schools Project

We’re looking for artistic collaborators to work with us and 3 – 5 schools in the London Borough of Barnet, including at least one primary, one secondary and one SEN, to devise, create and deliver a creative, imaginative and innovative workshop programme around the theme of environmental sustainability. This will culminate in an exhibition presented in the Apthorp Gallery at artsdepot throughout December 2021.

We are interested to hear from artists and companies from all disciplines and backgrounds with exciting proposals around the theme of sustainability for a project to animate and inspire our schools and community.

If you have an idea that will spark the imagination of young people, we want to hear from you.

This innovative project will take place in Autumn 2021 and is an opportunity for schools to collaborate with an award-winning multi-artform venue and professional cultural innovators/artists on a meaningful project for young people, school, and artists.

Wells Art Contemporary

WAC Awards is an open competition for contemporary visual art that is gaining praise and respect in Britain and abroad. It was established in 2012 by a group of artists and their friends in Wells, the beautiful cathedral city in the South-West of England. An idea that came to life around kitchen and dining tables has already established a strong presence in the London, national and international art world and is drawing artists from places as diverse as Australia, Azerbaijan, India, Italy, Korea, Japan, and the United States, as well as all over UK.

Figurative Art Now

The Federation of British Artists is the home of figurative art. In our 60th year we are bringing together the best of figurative art by launching a new vibrant, online, selling exhibition and art prize, Figurative Art Now. We want to see the broadest range of work that has any form of figuration.

At a time when representational and figurative painting is enjoying a welcome return to popularity and as society re-emerges into the light after the global pandemic, this exhibition will lift the spirits and give the public an opportunity to appreciate and buy new works in a wide range of mediums.

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize was founded in 1994 and is celebrating the 26th consecutive annual exhibition in 2021. The exhibition and awards are open to applications by emerging, mid-career and established drawing practitioners UK-wide and internationally.

The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize is open to all drawing practitioners from anywhere in the UK and internationally. Up to three drawings may be entered by each applicant for consideration by the Selection Panel.

Visual Art Open

The VAO art competition is currently running in its fifth consecutive year and is open to both amateur and professional artists. The primary goal of the awards is to reveal and establish artists’ profiles in the contemporary art world. The prize fund is worth £8,000 and all category winners achieve £250 cash prize.

Entry Fee: £15 for the first image, an extra £10 for each consecutive image. (No more than five artworks)

Artwork Archive’s Art Business Accelerator Grant

Open to both emerging and established artists, the Art Business Accelerator grants resources to invest in your art business as well as six weeks of career-building modules that increase business skills, economic proficiency, marketing knowledge, and more. Recipients receive funding and expert guidance to make the growth process easier, to gain confidence, and establish a solid business foundation for their art practice.

All applicants will receive the career-building educational resources designed to drive career development.

The Hopper Prize

The Hopper Prize offers unrestricted cash grants to individual artists through an international open call juried by leading contemporary curators.

Beginning with Spring 2021, grant cycle, the awards will be increased. In total, 6 artists will each receive unrestricted awards. The Hopper Prize supports artists working in all media, from diverse backgrounds, in wide-ranging geographic locations. There is no restriction on genre, style or subject matter–all media is eligible.

Grant submissions will be juried by 2 leading contemporary art curators. Curators for the Spring 2021 & Fall 2021 grant cycles will be available on The Hopper Prize website when they begin accepting submissions.

Liberty Open Call: R&D grants for D/deaf and disabled artists

The Mayor of London is offering new funding towards Research & Development projects by London based D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists or organisations. £70,000 of grant funding available is for projects ranging from £3,000 to £10,000. Successful applicants will be invited to share their project’s work-in-progress as part of Lewisham’s London Borough of Culture opening event in January 2022.

Proposals are invited for engaging and thought-provoking projects suitable for outdoor, indoor or digital presentation. All art forms are welcome, including music, visual art, comedy, poetry, street theatre and dance, digital art, participatory installations, workshops and other events.

Artist Grant

Founded in 2017, Artist Grant is a new venture that aims to support and fund artists. To that end, this charitable organization funds the efforts of artists to continue their important work and contributions to society, providing a modest competitive grant of $500 to one artist every quarter.

Schloss Wiepersdorf Residency Fellowships

The Schloss Wiepersdorf Cultural Foundation is announcing the Open Call for 3-month residency fellowships in 2022. Professional visual artists, composers and writers are eligible to apply. The residency fellowship is granted for the periods March to May, June to August, and September to November. Fellowships will be awarded in consultation with an independent jury of experts.

Who can apply: Academic artists from Germany and abroad.

Arts and Culture Festival Begehungen

Under the freely interpretable title LEERZEIT, we are calling to submit artistic works or to apply with a concept for a four-week residence in Chemnitz. This Open Call is addressed to any kind of artistic forms of expression, that can imagine a free discussion under this topic. All works selected by a jury of experts will be exhibited at the festival in the warehouse, if necessary, in the outdoor area of the freight yard and will be accompanied by a diverse supporting program of music, readings and workshops with high media presence.
