Laura has been working in the Fine Arts sector since 2012 and is a founder of the VAA. Presently\, Director of the Visual Art Open Prize\, the Professional Artist Award and the International Exhibition and Scholarship Prize. Laura has a wealth of experience in managing relationships with artists and understanding their needs. Laura has an extensive network including arts organisations\, galleries\, publishers and commercial partners. Laura has helped hundreds of artists figure out how to thrive at all stages of their fine art careers. Prior to working in the arts industry\, Laura was a solicitor specialising in Employment Law for over 15 years. \nTamara Andjus is a professional artist based in Zurich\, Switzerland\, whose work is best known for its abstract figurative style\, dynamic brushstrokes\, and vibrant use of colour. Working primarily with acrylics and oils on canvas\, she creates emotionally charged depictions of animals\, landscapes\, and people\, inviting viewers into layered worlds of movement\, mood\, and interpretation. Her work has been exhibited internationally in cities including New York\, Paris\, London\, Rome\, Dubai\, and Zurich\, and has been widely published and awarded. She is represented by several galleries\, including Fame Gallery in Zurich and Gallery Steiner in Vienna. \nTabish Khan is an art critic specialising in London’s art scene\, with a strong commitment to making art accessible to everyone. He visits and writes about hundreds of exhibitions each year\, from major blockbusters to emerging artists\, and has been Visual Arts Editor at Londonist since 2013. Tabish is a regular contributor to FAD – where he writes weekly exhibition round-ups\, reviews\, and the column What’s Wrong With Art-as well as Culture Whisper. He is a trustee of ArtCan\, City & Guilds of London Art School\, and Discerning Eye\, and is frequently invited to speak on radio\, television\, and panels about exhibitions and contemporary art. \nOriginally from France\, David Venon moved to the UK 20 years ago after completing Visual Arts studies and obtaining a degree in Fashion Design. With over 15 years’ experience in the service industry and content creation\, he joined Artfinder in 2019 as Community Manager and was later promoted to Head of Artist Recruitment & Engagement\, overseeing a team of curators and a global community of more than 4\,000 artists. David now works freelance as an art life coach and is a regular guest speaker at artist-focused events. \nRichard Kalman is the founder and owner of Crane Kalman Brighton\, which he established in 2005\, specialising in contemporary photography. Coming from a family background rooted in the art world—particularly modern British painting—Richard has built a strong reputation for championing emerging British talent alongside selected international photographers.
