VAA Masterclass Limited Edition Prints

An Online Masterclass focused on equipping artists with the skills and knowledge to create and sell limited edition prints.

About this event

Curious to learn how successful artists sell art prints prolifically? How do you identify your audience? And how can you gain new buyers?

Our upcoming Masterclass covers the in’s and out’s of limited edition prints. Held on Zoom and open to artists of all levels. This session with help you navigate the basics and provide you with expert tips to stand out from the crowd.

This session will cover:

  • Limited edition prints basics
  • Steps to selling your prints
  • Do’s & Don’ts of creating promotional campaigns
  • Insight into how professional artists sell limited-edition prints
  • Actionable points for you to get started with selling prints

This event will also provide you with the chance to ask experts your burning questions about selling prints. All attendees will receive a guide, worksheet, and glossary of terms.

This Masterclass will be joined by gallery expert:

Carne Griffith is renowned for his intricate art incorporating calligraphy inks, graphite and liquids. Carne’s illustration work has seen him collaborate with the British photographer Rankin for a 6-page feature in Hunger magazine as well as featuring in publications worldwide, notably for several covers of the New York Observer and English Heritage magazine. Carne’s work has been used in brand and charity projects including Microsoft, M&S,  Peroni, Lakes Distillery and Ibis Hotels. Since establishing his own studio in 2010, Carne has exhibited in the UK and overseas with work shown at the London Original Print Fair, the Royal Academy, Stroke Art Fair, Affordable Art Fair, the London Art Fair and with solo Exhibitions in Brighton, Hong Kong, Milan and Hamburg.

Jason Hicklin is currently Head of Printmaking at City and Guilds. He was elected a member of the Royal Society of Painting and Printmakers in 1993 and has had numerous solo and joint exhibitions in the UK and abroad. Jason studied at St. Martins College of Art, where he was a student of renowned printmaker Norman Ackroyd. After completing a postgraduate course at the Central School of Art in 1991, Jason combined working as Ackroyd’s studio assistant and editioner with producing his own work and teaching printmaking at City and Guilds of London Art School.
